John Foster Loves to Garden!
John
Foster is passionate about his work in horticulture, and sustainable
organic lifestyle practices whether in an advisory or “hands on”
capacity. He is a consultant who has worked together with City
Departments, non profits, private corporations, and individuals to
create and support healthy organic landscapes. The emphasis has been
on low water and energy usage. His expertise and temperament have
proven to be of huge value in working together with teams and
individuals in the creating, and advising of sustainable programs and
gardens.
John
is passionate about growing food, and has been working the land all his
adult life in one capacity or the other- farmer, master gardener,
horticulturist and teacher. He has created beautiful gardens all over
California and is a sought after gardening consultant. Recently he has
been involved in creating school gardens and holding workshops in
schools for the children, teachers and parents, as well as
holding "Grow Your Own Backyard Organic Garden Workshops" for the
public.
His
passion is actually a gift. Everyone who observes Johnny at work
can see that he has a special understanding and connection with the
plant world, a creativity and wisdom which is the result of many many
decades of experience.
John
Foster is not only a landscaper, but an artist! He creates
environments that are not just inviting to us, but also to the
butterflies and birds that have made our yard their home. There's a
magical quality to his work, it's like entering a special world. We are
